What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Professional CIPD membership (Associate or Chartered) and Level 5 qualification or above.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development HR professional with extensive experience in either a generalist of specialist environment, including operational exposure to application of employment law, complex case management and organisational change management.
  • Experience of advising and influencing senior management on matters of both HR strategy and operations.
  • Evidence of having coached/mentored/managed professional HR staff.
  • Experience of working with trades unions on employee relations matters.
  • Evidence of working and delivered on HR projects large and small with key deliverables.
  • Good management and leadership skills, acting positively, flexibly and constructively, bringing energy and focus to the work.
  • Ability to coach and advise colleagues on complex issues using strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyse problems at strategic and operational level, identify root cause and develop a range of creative and solutions that will add value.
  • Ability to focus on customers, being innovative and creative, open to ideas and challenge and committed to individual learning and development.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with ability to manage large and/or complex projects.
  • Ability to take responsibility for planning own work, consistently achieving and delivering to time and quality despite tight timescales and conflicting priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to successfully present information verbally through use of formal presentation tools.
  • Excellent IT skills, including the ability to use MS Office software packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
  • Be a strong team player.
  • Highest levels of integrity and probity and a commitment to highest levels of effort, endeavour and focus on standards.
  • Be able to travel to meetings across Anglian Learning Trust Schools.

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and people-focused HR Business Partner to join our Senior HR Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering a progressive people strategy across a growing and ambitious Trust.

You will work in close partnership with Headteachers, senior leaders and managers to provide expert HR support, influence strategic decision-making and ensure the effective management, development and wellbeing of our workforce.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about organisational development and employee engagement, and has strong experience managing complex employee relations matters and change programmes.

Primarily based at Marleigh Primary Academy, offers hybrid working 2-3 days in office/home. Working from home is encouraged during school holidays.
