HR & Finance Assistant job summary
Are you an organised and motivated administrator looking to develop your career in HR and Finance? This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive school environment and gain valuable experience across two key operational functions.
As the HR & Finance Assistant, you will provide high-quality administrative support to both departments, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of essential school processes. Within the Finance team, you will support the management of school payment systems, including ParentPay and Arbor, assist with trip administration, monitor outstanding balances, and contribute to a range of day-to-day financial activities. On the HR side, you will support the full recruitment process, undertake safer recruitment checks in line with KCSIE requirements, maintain the Single Central Record (SCR), and ensure staff records are accurately updated on school MIS system.
This role requires a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. You will be comfortable handling confidential information with discretion, working both independently and collaboratively, and providing a professional and supportive service to staff, parents, and other stakeholders. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is keen to further develop their professional skills within a school setting.
