What skills and experience we're looking for

Excellent communication and listening skills

Ability to support students with their workand to develop programmes of work that willdevelop self-esteem and confidence

Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality

High level experience of using Microsoft

Office packages, including word processing,e mail and excel

Efficient and effective organisational skills

Ability to relate to students in a pleasantmanner and recognise potential

Experience and knowledge of issuesaffecting students and young people andhow to offer supportive assistance

Experience of working with parents and keyagencies to support the most vulnerablestudents.

Involvement in ‘Team Around the Child’meetings or similar.

Experience of working with students who arespecifically diagnosed with AutisimSpectrum Disorder

Experience of working in an educationenvironment with young people with specificdifficulties and vulnerabilities

5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Englishand Maths
