What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a Intervention Lead, with experience in working within a classroom ideally with SEN young people. The role involves taking specific responsibility and accountability for the day-to-day management and organisation of interventions delivered within the Centre. We strive to implement creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage, enabling all our Young People to access learning. You should be passionate about developing and supporting the needs of the whole child and committed to enabling all young people to thrive. We are looking for candidates with at least a Level 3 in a relevant field along with minimum GSCE 4 - 9 in English and Maths, or equivalent.

James Brindley is a stand-alone Academy based in a wide variety of locations across the City of Birmingham. During a school year, we educate over 3,000 young people for periods ranging from a few days in hospital to several years in one of our teaching centres. Many of our young people have complex medical needs and many have been out of education for a significant period prior to joining us.
