Janitor job summary

We are looking for someone who:

  • Provide a safe, secure environment for our pupils, staff, parents and visitors
  • Maintain the school’s swimming pool
  • Carry out basic maintenance of site
  • Oversight and secure the building at the start and end of the day
  • Supervise lettings and be available in the evening and at weekends (paid at overtime rate)
  • Undertake some cleaning duties and supervise the work of our existing cleaners, janitor and site supervisor
  • Oversee health and safety aspects within the school
  • Liaise and deal with contractors
  • To be on call as a designated key holder for emergency access to the premises
