Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Successful teaching with strong outcomes.
  • Demonstrable impact on pupils’ progress in English and mathematics; skilled use of assessment and responsive teaching.
  • Proven inclusive practice for pupils with SEND, EAL and those who are disadvantaged.
  • High expectations, excellent behaviour management and strong classroom climate aligned to Foxhill’s values.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and continuous professional development.

Desirable

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding and practical experience in delivering daily, high-quality, systematic synthetic phonics lessons aligned with the Department for Education’s Reading Framework.
  • Experience in delivering early reading sessions.
  • Committed to fostering a love of reading through engaging, structured phonics teaching that supports pupils in achieving age-related expectations in reading and writing.
  • Have knowledge of Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Phonics program.

The Role

We’re looking for a skilled KS1 class teacher who champions every child’s progress and contributes positively to our warm, whole-school culture.

You will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Plan and deliver a rich, engaging curriculum that builds knowledge and fosters a love of learning.
  • Use assessment intelligently to inform responsive teaching and close gaps.
  • Create a calm, inclusive classroom with clear routines and positive relationships.
  • Work effectively with support staff, the SENDCo and families to meet diverse needs.
  • Contribute enthusiastically to wider school life—clubs, trips, performances and community events.
