We are looking to appoint a part-time Key Stage One teacher for January 2027 who: 

  • Has knowledge and experience of Key Stage 1 and/or Early Years and is keen to apply this in mixed age class 
  • Is an excellent and committed teacher who has the drive and desire to improve the quality of education and can deliver an exciting curriculum 
  • Can demonstrate high standards and expectations in all aspects of school life 
  • Is keen to develop and share their own knowledge and expertise 
  • Is able to communicate effectively to all members of the school team 
  • Is able to jointly manage a class of children  
  • Is passionate about quality first teaching 
  • Has a desire to support SEND pupils and is committed to inclusion 
  • Will support the school’s nurturing ethos 
  • Is keen to support the school through effective subject leadership

The post is for 2 days each week with working days Monday and Tuesday. The post is initially a permanent contract following a successful probation period.

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post.
