We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work in our Key Stage one team.  

Our priority is to recruit staff who are ambitious for, yet sensitive to the needs of children, whatever their starting points. We are a two form entry infant and nursery school, with a well developed outdoor space and a strong curriculum to suit the needs of our children. ‘Pupils are safe and happy. This is because staff have made pupils’ mental and physical well-being a priority. Pupils know their teachers care about them.’ OFSTED October 2024 

Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.30-4.30pm & Friday 8:30 - 3.30pm

You will have:  

  • experience and knowledge of how young children learn 
  • excellent communication skills 
  • experience of teaching phonics 
  • the ability to use your own initiative to support the individual needs of children 
  • the ability to develop positive and supportive relationships with children and their families 
  • the ability to support the speech and language progress of children from various stages of development 
  • an understanding of supporting a range of additional needs within the classroom 
  • the skills to be an excellent team player
