• A passion and commitment to support you in living life in all its fullness; striking the balance between work and home life and helping you to sustain your love for teaching
• A close-knit staff team who are willing to muck in and support one another
• A school culture which is committed to growth – both the personal growth of individuals and the growth of our practice as a school
• Children who are polite and well-mannered, who are proud of their school and who regularly receive glowing comments from those they encounter on trips and sporting events
• Great location, close to the river, Bushy Park, and both Teddington and Kingston towns

• Someone who wants the best for everyone, and has the passion and commitment to work with the staff team to realise this vision in our school community
• Someone who is, or demonstrates the capacity to become, a brilliant leader – able to nurture both children’s and adult’s talents and help them to grow
• Someone who brings other skills and interests to the staff team and who would be willing to share these through opportunities such as leading clubs or specific subject leadership responsibility.

St John's is a two-form entry junior school within the London Borough of Richmond and the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS) group of schools.

Our vision is life in all its fullness; for all our children, their families and the whole staff team. The children are at the heart of everything we do and this vision inspires us to focus on what is most important – preparing all children to flourish later in life.

Our children join us as infants – predominantly from our linked school Hampton Wick Infant and Nursery School – and leave us as seniors. Along the way, they are given every opportunity to explore who they are; their passions, interests and aspirations. We have high expectations of all our children and are continually striving to be the best we can be, never sitting still but constantly reflecting on how we can better see our vision realised in our school community.

We believe we provide our children with an excellent start to life; giving them the skills and confidence to flourish both now and in the future.
