KS2 Class Teacher job summary
The Governors of St Wilfrid’s Primary School are seeking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Class Teacher from the beginning of the Autumn Term. The appointment is on a 1 year temporary contract.
We are looking for a highly committed, talented and creative teacher, dedicated to providing the best possible education for our pupils. A commitment to their own professional development is paramount.
St Wilfrid’s Primary School is an exciting place to teach and learn. Our outgoing, confident and talented pupils are a pleasure to teach. Our most recent OFSTED inspection, graded good, praised many aspects of our provision. The report made reference to our pupils who ‘flourish both socially and academically and are a credit to the school’.
We are fortunate that our school is set within extensive grounds with excellent facilities both inside and outdoors.
We would welcome applications from both early career teachers and more experienced practitioners. The underlying qualities we seek are applicants who are passionate about teaching and learning, great team players and committed to developing their own practice.
Visits to school are very welcome, please contact the school office to make an appointment.
Application forms and further details are available from the above address, by telephoning 0115 965 2775 or emailing the school office at office@st-wilfrids.notts.sch.uk.
Closing date: 20th May 2022 at 10am.
Commitment to safeguarding

St Wilfrid’s is a caring school, setting the highest standards of teaching and learning within an inclusive environment
We aim to balance the desire for academic achievement with the education of the whole child and have developed a creative curriculum that is regularly enriched and enhanced to facilitate this.
The school is a Voluntary Controlled Primary School and derives its religious character from a partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.
We work hard to encourage positive relationships between all members of the school community. The ethos of the school is one of realising potential in a climate of opportunity and support.
We have worked hard to produce a vision and a set of core values that reflect the aims and aspirations of the school.
