What skills and experience we're looking for

If you are a caring, friendly and enthusiastic individual who enjoys supporting young adults and can demonstrate leadership skills then we want you on our team!

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed lunchtime supervisor to join and manage our team of friendly experienced staff. You will be responsible for lunchtime supervisors working simultaneously to support students within the school at break and lunch time. This role will also provide an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to play an integral part in Blue Coat’s daily operations, by supporting reprographics. We require staff who are excited by this opportunity and who are ready to embrace this, supporting us in delivering a great school for our local community.

What the school offers its staff

The school has been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, most recently in January 2023:

“Leaders are committed to all pupils becoming successful and active citizens. The school celebrates diversity and meets the needs of all pupils. Many pupils and staff told inspectors, ‘We are proud to be a part of the Blue Coat family. Leaders have instilled a culture of safeguarding across the school. This means that staff act in the best interests of pupils. Pupils know how to protect themselves online and offline. Pupils know whom to speak to if they have any worries.”

Blue Coat Church of England Academy is one of the oldest educational establishments in Walsall, is well-respected and valued by the community it serves. We operate on a very collaborative approach to school improvement working with a range of other schools and nationally recognised trainers. The school is very proud of the family ethos which pervades all aspects of its work, which is grounded in Christian values.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.
