About this Role
We are currently seeking a talented professional to join Wey Valley Academy as Lead Practitioner in Maths. This is an exciting opportunity to make a measurable impact on teaching standards and student outcomes.

As Lead Practitioner in Maths you will lead a core subject that has a direct impact on students life chances. You will model and support high quality teaching across the Academy, develop teaching practice and build a culture of high expectations where all students can succeed. You will work closely with senior leaders to drive improvement, ensuring that the department delivers consistently strong outcomes and provides a high-quality learning experience for every student. The role of the Lead Practitioner is to raise standards and develop teaching and learning in Mathematics across the Academy. To ensure that the aims of the Academy are effectively translated into high quality classroom practice both within the subject and in general across the Academy.
