This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and ambitious teacher to make a real difference.

We wish to appoint a Lead Practitioner who:

  • Is excited about learning and teaching with the ability to inspire staff and pupils.
  • Is dedicated and driven towards improving outcomes for every child.
  • Is a strong, reflective classroom practitioner, who is energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and lifelong learning.
  • Has the ability to build good relationships with all pupils and adults
  • Can promote and maintain the highest standards in all aspects of work in the school
  • Is keen to expand their knowledge, skills and understanding of learning, education and pedagogy in order to grow and develop as a practitioner
  • Has an excellent working knowledge of the primary curriculum.

We take the well-being of our staff very seriously. We adopt a range of approaches to support our teachers and all classes have a full time Teaching Assistant. We use dedicated specialist teachers for French KS2(weekly) and PE (alternate ½ term) and weekly PPA can be taken off site. Our children finish early on a Friday which gives additional non-contact time for all staff. Our well-being services are provided by SAS and can be accessed by all employees.

Enhance Academy Trust is a Church of England Multi-Academy Trust comprising of thirteen primary schools located across Wakefield and Kirklees and a post 16 performing arts free school.

The Trust works very closely with its academies and encourages them to help each other whilst at the same time allowing them a reasonable amount of autonomy. It has kept to this model whilst expanding and wants to continue to follow similar principles in the future.
