What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher to join a highly motivated team in an outstanding school (Ofsted, April 2023). We are seeking a dynamic teacher with high expectations and a happy disposition. You will need to have a strong track record of (at least) good teaching and excellent pupil progress rates.
We are looking to appoint a teacher who is:
- a confident practitioner able to inspire and lead successful learning;
- able to bring learning to life through a creative practical curriculum;
- an excellent communicator who is committed to working in partnership with children, staff and parents;
- keen to develop their own skills and expertise;

What the school offers its staff
We set high standards for the quality of teaching and will support you to become an outstanding teacher through the provision of outstanding professional development. As part of Catalyst Academies Trust, a high performing local MAT of five primary schools, you will benefit from support and shared planning. This will also provide the right candidate with opportunities for career development, including outreach work and ITT support work.
A £1,000 Catalyst welcome payment for successful candidates (teachers paid on Main Scale only) if you are appointed through a direct application to a Catalyst school (i.e. avoiding agency costs). This payment is allocated 6 months after you have been in post.

Our pupils are aged 3 – 11, ranging from Nursery to Year 6, and mainly live in the area surrounding the school. We also have a Personalised Learning Centre that offers specialist provision for 10 pupils. This means we have over 510 pupils in total.
At Dilkes we want our children to be happy, confident and to share a passion for learning. We help them to achieve highly and make outstanding progress.
We value every child and ensure that we foster the individuality of their interests and experiences. Our bespoke curriculum is carefully planned to enable us to teach all the National Curriculum subjects in a creative and inspiring way.
