What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an individual to join our team who:

  • significant and successful experience of working with vulnerable children, groups and families.
  • a knowledge of a range of strategies and approaches to support in a wide variety of situations and an ability to be highly flexible and versatile.
  • 4 GCSE’s (grade A-C) or equivalent and, ideally, a minimum of 3 years working with children of primary school age.
  • a clear understanding of relevant legislation in relation to child welfare and protection.
  • effective behaviour management skills and high expectations.
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to be a sympathetic and trusted adult role model.
  • the ability to work effectively within a team and to manage their time effectively.
  • a good sense of humour and positive outlook.
