What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Learning Mentor to join our team. Reedley Community Primary School is a two-form entry Maintained Primary School located on the edge of Burnley, Lancashire. Our school has a diverse and inclusive ethos, fostering a supportive community where every child can thrive.
As Learning Mentor, your job will be to:
- ensure that any barriers to learning are identified and overcome.
- work closely with our staff and alongside our children and their families, providing high quality care, advice and support.
- work with children and families across the whole school; from a variety of backgrounds.
- be committed to pastoral care and collaborative working.
We are looking for someone:
- with relevant NVQ level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- confident when communicating with a variety of professionals in different contexts including face to face meetings.
- who will spend time working with children in their classrooms when required.
- who has experience of working with children and families within EYFS, KS1 and KS2 mainstream school.
- who has experience of nurturing child interaction and behaviour.
- who is resilient, reflective and committed to working as part of a team.
- who consistently has high expectations both for themselves and the children in their care.
- who will ensure our children are supported socially, emotionally and academically to make progress from their starting points.
