What skills and experience we're looking for

Wohl Ilford Jewish Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work directly with pupils who have additional needs, providing tailored one-to-one support as well as contributing to small-group work within the classroom.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEN
  • Is patient, nurturing and able to build positive relationships
  • Can follow advice from the class teacher and SENCo
  • Is committed to helping pupils access learning and achieve their full potential
  • Works well as part of a supportive staff team

WIJPS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. As part of our safeguarding procedures, we may also conduct online searches for shortlisted candidates.
