What skills and experience we're looking for

Morley Newlands Academy is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Level 1 Teaching Assistant. This is a key role within the Academy, supporting pupils' access to learning and helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment in which all children can thrive. Working under the direction of teaching staff, the successful candidate will provide classroom support, promote pupil independence, and contribute positively to pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

Potential applicants should have:

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
  • The ability to work constructively as part of a team and support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences.
  • A commitment to inclusion and supporting all pupils to achieve their full potential.
