Midday Meal Supervisors job summary

Responsible for supervising and supporting pupils during lunchtime, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour. This includes managing the dining hall and playground, supporting pupils with meals and hygiene, encouraging positive social interaction, managing incidents and behaviour, and following safeguarding, health and safety and school procedures. Creating a safe, caring and inclusive environment where pupils can enjoy their lunch and play.

Person Specification

Essential:

• First Aid certificate.

• Experience working with children or young people, paid or unpaid.

• Knowledge of basic Health & Safety and First Aid.

• Understanding of pupils’ welfare and social needs.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to supervise, organise and engage pupils.

• Calm and positive approach to behaviour management.

• Ability to maintain written records.

Desirable:

• Experience supervising pupils with special educational needs in a school environment.

  Please note that College Park School operates across four separate sites within Westminster - Bayswater, Pimlico, Hallfield and St Johns Wood. You may be required to work at any of these locations, as directed by the Senior Leadership Team.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
