Mobile Maintenance Manager job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a service that makes a real difference to the daily experience of students and staff across the Brooke Weston Trust. As Mobile Maintenance Manager, you will help create safe, well-maintained and inspiring learning environments where young people can focus on achieving their potential and developing the skills and self-belief that become their tickets for life.
Working across a family of schools, you will combine leadership with hands-on expertise, supporting colleagues, developing a skilled maintenance team and driving high standards across the Trust’s estate. Your work will directly remove barriers to learning, ensure resources are used effectively and contribute to environments where students and staff can thrive. If you are motivated by leading people, solving problems and making a visible impact every day, this is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a Trust committed to raising achievement and transforming lives through education.
About the Role
As Mobile Maintenance Manager, you will lead the delivery of a high-quality maintenance service across Brooke Weston Trust’s schools, helping to ensure that every site provides a safe, compliant and well-maintained environment where students and staff can thrive.
This is a varied role that combines operational leadership with practical expertise. You will be responsible for managing and supporting a mobile maintenance team, coordinating repairs and planned works across multiple sites, and ensuring that maintenance activities are delivered efficiently, effectively and to the highest standards. Working closely with school leaders, site teams and external contractors, you will play a key role in maintaining the Trust’s estate and supporting its long-term development.
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to provide a responsive, customer-focused service, develop and motivate your team, and ensure that buildings and facilities consistently support excellent educational outcomes. You will be someone who can balance strategic oversight with a hands-on approach, solve problems proactively and build strong working relationships across a range of stakeholders.
We are looking for an experienced maintenance professional with strong leadership skills, sound technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of health and safety and building compliance requirements. Equally important are your communication skills, organisational ability and commitment to working collaboratively. This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact across the Trust, supporting our values of Working Together, High Expectations and Contribution to Society by creating environments where every student can gain the qualifications, skills and confidence that become their tickets for life.
Be part of something bigger
At Brooke Weston Trust, we believe education has the power to transform lives. Our purpose is to give every child and young person the knowledge, qualifications, confidence, character and opportunities that become their tickets for life.
Each of our schools has its own identity, shaped by the community it serves, while benefiting from being part of a connected and collaborative Trust. Together, we share ideas, expertise and opportunities so that our pupils, colleagues and schools can flourish.
Whatever your role, you will be part of a wider team united by a shared purpose. Whether you work directly with pupils or support their education in another way, your contribution helps to create the experiences and opportunities every child deserves.
A simple question guides our decisions and keeps children at the centre of our work:
Is this good enough for our children?

Our people are central to everything we achieve. We want every colleague to feel that they belong, are valued for their contribution and are supported to build a fulfilling career.

We are committed to creating positive and inclusive working environments built on trust, respect and shared responsibility. We want colleagues to feel supported to do their best work, encouraged to develop and confident that their contribution matters.
