The successful candidate will teach music across the school, lead our Chamber Choir and Orchestra, support performances and school events, and coordinate our established programme of peripatetic instrumental tuition.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), strong musical knowledge and a passion for inspiring children through music.
  • Can deliver engaging and inclusive music teaching from Nursery to Year 6, with an understanding of both the EYFS framework and National Curriculum.
  • Can lead singing and instrumental ensembles and inspire children to perform.
  • Can lead and develop music as a subject across the school.
  • Can assess pupils’ musical development and use this to inform teaching and curriculum development.
  • Can coordinate and support our programme of visiting instrumental teachers.
  • Is organised, collaborative and committed to the safeguarding and flourishing of every child.
  • Is supportive of our Christian ethos and our values of Love, Serve, Grow.

The ability to play an instrument is essential; piano/keyboard skills are highly desirable.
