Office Administrator job summary

As a school administrator, you will be required to oversee the daily operations of the school whilst managing staff and pupil activities. You will also be ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining simple school budgets. It will be your job to create a safe and effective learning environment for those in our school.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent spoken and written communication skills as well as organisation. It is important that you can work accurately and pay close attention to detail while being able to relate well with pupils, teachers and parents. Experience in systems such as SIMS is a requirement. You must also be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other office management software. It is preferred that you have some experience working as an administrator in a school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain school records, including pupil attendance and admissions.
  • Coordinate communication between the school leadership, staff, parents and pupils.
  • Oversee office supplies and equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly
  • Support the recruitment process for new staff members.
  • Experience with SIMS and Parent Pay.
