What skills and experience we're looking for

This is a varied and influential role overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the school office while providing high-level, confidential administrative support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

You will:

  • Lead and line manage the administrative team, ensuring a welcoming, professional front-of-house service
  • Act as PA to the Headteacher, managing diaries, correspondence, meetings and follow-up actions
  • Oversee whole-school communications including newsletters, letters, website and social media
  • Coordinate admissions, events, data returns and statutory processes
  • Play a key role in parent communication, complaints handling and information governance
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and service delivery

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a senior administrative, PA or office management role
  • Is highly organised, calm under pressure and able to manage competing priorities
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with staff, parents and external stakeholders
  • Has strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft 365 (experience of Arbor/iTrent is desirable)
