PA to the Executive Headteacher job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled, professional PA to Executive Headteacher with previous experience of supporting school leadership, to join Appleton Academy. The person appointed to this post will occupy a key role within the Academy and will be entrusted to provide outstanding support to our Executive Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring leaders are supported to allow them to focus their energy and resources on the strategic oversight and continuing improvement of Appleton Academy. This will be achieved by maintaining an excellent level of support for, understanding of and management of key facets of school business, and ensuring the organisation and smooth running of the workload and responsibilities of school leaders, particularly the Executive Headteacher.
The successful candidate will:
- Provide outstanding, professional support to the Executive Headteacher and School Leadership Team
- Be confident in solving complex problems and working with colleagues at all levels
- Provide a high level school business management administrative service
- Plan, review and organise diaries, resources and the allocation of tasks to ensure the smooth running of the work streams of the Executive Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team
- Be confident, calm and self-assured in managing complex and challenging enquiries, complaints and communications
- Be self-sufficient, resourceful and motivated to manage tasks with discretion and professionalism
- Promote and assist in overseeing the safeguarding of student welfare
