Job Description:
General
To provide administrative support for all matters related to the marketing, recruitment, selection and training of trainee trainees.
To support the administration and the coordination of all the teacher training programmes across the partner schools who are hosting placements for trainee teachers.
To support the administration of communicating the weekly newsletters to placement schools for mentors and trainee teachers.
To complete administration tasks requested by the PLS senior leadership team in an efficient and timely manner.
Central Training
To communicate to professional studies and subject leads regarding central training when hosted at Sydney Russell School.
To organise the central training venue in the set up required for training that week.
To collate the data from central training evaluations and share this with the PLS Director and Deputy Director on a weekly basis.
Attendance and PunctualityTo manage the administration of recording PLS teachers’ attendance and punctuality to placement school and central training on a weekly basis.
To monitor the persistent absence triggers weekly and arrange the stage one persistent absence and punctuality meetings with the relevant PLS teachers.
Placement B
To support the placement B arrangements by communicating with PLS teachers, PCMs, general mentors and lead mentors.
Tracking Progress of PLS TeachersTo upload data from the half-termly progress check PLDs on the master PLS Trainees spreadsheet in a timely manner.
To communicate with mentors regarding outstanding progress check PLDs and cc in PCMs and PLS Director and Deputy Director.
To upload data from the half-termly observation records on the PLS Trainees spreadsheet in a timely manner and share with PLS Director and Deputy Director.
Mentor Training CurriculumTo communicate key information regarding mentor training with general mentors and PCMs in a timely manner.
To communicate sign up for mentor training and to share the responses with PLS Director and Deputy Director.
To record the attendance of general mentors and PCMs at mentor training on the PLS Trainees spreadsheet in a timely manner and share with PLS Director and Deputy Director.
To communicate the mentor training evaluations with general mentors and PCMs and to share the responses with PLS Director and Deputy Director.
To collate the data from mentor training evaluations and share this with PLS Director and Deputy Director in a timely manner.
Board Meetings
To attend board meetings and take minutes and upload these in the relevant folder in a timely manner.
Early Career Teachers
To communicate with ECTs and ECT employing schools to collate the necessary information required.
To send the Early Career Teacher Passports to the ECT employing schools.
MarketingTo manage the PLS social media accounts (Instagram, X, Facebook and TiKTok) and post regularly.
Data
To collate and record the following data:- recruitment and selection
- trainee teachers’ progress checks and final outcomes
- completion rate
- employment rate
- central training evaluations - professional studies and subject sessions
- mentor training attendance
- mentor training evaluations
- mentor/PCM questionnaires outcomes
- trainee teacher questionnaires outcomes
- ECT questionnaire outcomes
- ECT school questionnaire outcomes
