What skills and experience we're looking for

The Role

We are looking to appoint a Pastoral Manager to join our dedicated pastoral team at Brymore Academy. Based within the pastoral office of the school, this post involves working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, and wider support services to lead, develop, and monitor pastoral support across the school.

You will play a key role in managing and coordinating support for students, including the delivery of one-to-one and group interventions designed to improve wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, engagement, and educational outcomes. You will provide guidance and support to staff and work collaboratively to ensure that students receive consistent, high-quality pastoral care throughout their time at the Academy.

The role requires the development of strong working relationships with students, parents and carers, as well as external agencies including social care, early help, and mental health services. You will also work closely with colleagues across the school, including tutors, teachers, and support staff, to ensure that students are fully supported to achieve successfully alongside their peers.

Additional responsibilities include managing student files for those on specific support plans, tracking progress, and attending meetings where appropriate.

You will be expected to take a lead role within the pastoral team, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where all students are empowered to succeed, thrive, and make the most of their opportunities at Brymore Academy.
