Are you passionate about helping people grow, develop, and thrive in their careers?

At Pathway Trust, we believe that providing a great education for every child starts with supporting, developing, and inspiring our staff. On 1 September 2026 we will be a newly formed trust and the development of our staff will be a priority for us. We are seeking a proactive, highly organised and detail-focused People Administrator to join our central People Operations Team, serving as our subject-matter expert for Learning & Development (L&D).

This is not just a standard administrative role, it is an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of key Trust-wide workforce initiatives. From tracking mandatory training compliance and supporting the rollout of our new trust-wide Learning Management System (LMS) to assisting with our improved appraisal processes, career pathways and staff surveys, your work will directly shape the employee experience across all our schools.

Why Join Us?

  • Drive Real Change: Play a pivotal role in embedding a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and career progression across our academies.
  • Systems Innovation: Be a key player in our transition to a modern, fit-for-purpose trust-wide learning platform.
  • Varied & Rewarding Work: Balance dedicated L&D ownership with foundational HR administration, safer recruitment, and professional development in a supportive Multi-Academy Trust environment.
  • A Collaborative Culture: Join a welcoming, dedicated central team committed to excellence, integrity, and mutual support.

Key Responsibilities

  • L&D Subject-Matter Expert: Take ownership of mandatory training compliance data, track progress, assign modules and proactively work with school leads to close completion gaps.
  • LMS Implementation: Support the evaluation, data cleansing, setup and trust-wide rollout of our new digital learning platform.
  • Staff Development & Appraisal Rollout: Provide crucial administrative support for our enhanced appraisal process, career pathways guides, succession planning pipelines, and trust-wide staff engagement surveys.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings a blend of technical accuracy, curiosity and strong interpersonal skills. You will be a great fit if you have:

  • Strong Data & ICT Skills: High attention to detail with confidence using spreadsheets (MS Excel / Google Sheets) and databases to track lists, analyse compliance, and maintain clean records.
  • Proactive Curiosity: A natural desire to understand the "why," question discrepancies, and solve problems independently.
  • Great Communication: The ability to build positive working relationships with Headteachers, school staff, and central colleagues.
  • Adaptability & Initiative: Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm for learning new digital tools.
  • Commitment to Values: High personal integrity, discretion with confidential data and a dedication to safeguarding children and young people.
