Permanent, part time (0.4 fte) KS1 Teacher job summary

We are looking to recruit an outstanding, enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our energetic and nurturing team at Chulmleigh Primary School. The successful candidate will be creative and resourceful in their teaching practice, to support rapid progress and excellent outcomes. The teaching role will include being part of our wider Academy team across three primary schools, in sharing joint planning and expertise in a supportive and dynamic way.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of how children learn and how to translate this into high quality teaching and learning. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding and engagement in appropriate assessment processes and inclusive practices; and share a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

We welcome applications from candidates with good subject knowledge and proven experience of teaching in Key Stage 1. Days can be flexible and will be negotiated at interview for this Year 2 class teacher post.

Chulmleigh Primary School is situated in the small rural town of Chulmleigh, midway between Barnstaple and Exeter. It serves the town of Chulmleigh itself and the neighbouring village of Chawleigh, it is also the school of choice for families from a wider area. Our site is within close proximity to Chulmleigh College where we access many of the facilities including: science labs, the drama studio, design technology department and others, with teaching from our secondary colleagues, specialists in their field.
