PPA Teacher job summary

We are looking to appoint a creative, highly motivated and dynamic class teacher as a PPA Cover teacher for one day a week. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher  to join a committed team of highly skilled professionals in our successful and over-subscribed one form entry school.  This is a fixed post initially.  There could be the possibility of some regular work throughout the year.  

The successful candidate will be able to deliver high quality teaching and learning, create a stimulating learning environment and have a strong commitment to high standards of achievement for all.  In return we offer  an EAP scheme and opportunities for continuous certificated learning - we are members of the National College (online) which is available to all staff, providing professional development for all our staff in line with our CPD and school improvement requirements.

Our school is part of the Agora Learning Partnership (ALP), which consists of 9 schools and shares an Executive Headteacher with The Orchard Primary School.  The schools in the Trust maintain their own clear identity, however, working collaboratively within a trust means that there is a huge amount of opportunity and support for staff in each school.  Alban Wood is very friendly and welcoming and have supportive teams who are committed to ensuring that every child reaches their full potential and enjoys learning.
