Primary First Aider & Pastoral Administration Assistant job summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Primary First Aider & Pastoral Administration Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role, providing first-line medical and welfare support to students and staff, including administering first aid, managing ongoing medical needs, and maintaining accurate records, while supporting the Pastoral Team with administrative tasks and contributing to the overall safety, wellbeing, and pastoral care of students.

Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, a First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid qualification. The postholder will also undertake additional training to support students with specific medical needs (e.g. diabetes, anaphylaxis, asthma, epilepsy).

Working hours:

25 hours per week

Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm

Term time only

Job requirements

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and mathematics (grade C/4 or above)
  • Experience of using all Microsoft & Google applications
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy administrative environment, dealing with sensitive and confidential matters
  • Experience administering First Aid and maintaining accurate records
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively with a range of people both verbally and in writing
  • A willingness to work with and support students with additional medical or physical needs
