We are seeking a flexible, motivated, and dedicated Primary Cover Teacher to join our Primary Phase team at Bridgwater College Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across our school, supporting pupils from EYFS to Year 6, and contributing to the continued success of our thriving academy.

As a Primary Cover Teacher, you will work across the primary phase to deliver engaging lessons, maintain continuity of learning, and ensure a positive classroom environment whenever regular class teachers are absent. This role requires a teacher with strong classroom management skills, adaptability, and a commitment to upholding the high expectations and values of Bridgwater College Academy. You will work closely with our teaching teams and leaders to provide consistency, support curriculum delivery, and help ensure that every child achieves their full potential.

If you are passionate about teaching, thrive on variety, and enjoy being part of a supportive and dynamic team, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience of teaching across the primary age range (EYFS to Year 6).
  • A secure understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different classes and year groups, maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, ensuring a smooth and consistent learning experience for all pupils.
  • A commitment to inclusive education, high expectations, and the vision that “Every Child Achieves.”
