Principal job summary

Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell is a 4-11, two form entry primary school in the city of Worcester. Having joined the Tudor Grange Academies Trust in April 2021, we are already feeling the benefits of being part of this family of schools and Perdiswell pupils are now guaranteed a place at Tudor Grange Academy Worcester High School, if parents apply.

Through our values education which threads itself through all aspects of our school life, our pupils comment that we are ‘like a family’, supporting and encouraging each other to succeed. We are a community-based school, with a family atmosphere. It is a school where every child is known as an individual and where our Governing Body, PTA and hugely supportive parent body play a central role in helping us to achieve what we want for our children: an outstanding education.

The Academy now requires a leader who can build on this vision. The successful applicant will be an exceptional person with inspirational leadership skills and the expertise to manage and lead the Academy’s future development. They will be well supported by the Trust.

Safeguarding and welfare of children and young people with all staff collaborating in this commitment is at the core of the Trust. The successful applicant will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check in line with the government’s safer recruitment guidelines.

The Trust values the diversity of our workforce and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

Further information about the Academy and the position is available to download online here or from the Academy website: www.perdiswell.tgacademy.org.uk

Commitment to safeguarding

The recruitment process is robust in seeking to establish the commitment of candidates to support the school’s measures to safeguard children and to identify, deter or reject people who might pose a risk of harm to children or are otherwise unsuited to work with them. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. All applications will be considered and the post will be offered subject to the usual health and criminal clearance. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

This stimulating, challenging atmosphere provides every opportunity for them to grow in confidence, to develop and succeed to their full potential, whilst learning independence and respect for others.

As a staff we have high standards as well. We constantly ask ourselves, ‘would this be outstanding for my child?’ We strive to say ‘yes’ to this question in everything we do.
