Vacancy: Pupil Support Lead
Contract: Fixed Term - Maternity Cover
Grade: TSPT 9 points 29-31
Hours: 28.8 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: £25,535 - £26,917 (FTE £37,262 - £39,278)
We are looking for an individual who is committed and passionate about the wellbeing of children in our care. The successful candidate will be professional, articulate, and confident to act as primary liaison with external partners, outside agencies and families. You will have good interpersonal skills, strong communication skills, be diplomatic, trustworthy and sensitive. You will also be organised, efficient and able to lead the team by example. Previous experience of supporting children’s pastoral needs is desirable.
The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team and will be expected to;
- work with senior leaders to deliver safeguarding operationally across the school facilitating the protection of all health and well-being;
- to be a deputy designated Child Protection Officer;
- to have the lead overview of CAFs within the school;
- to support LAC pupils across the school;
- to attend multi-agency meetings including Child Protection Conferences;
- to implement unique bespoke safeguarding overarching systems to monitor and track all concerns regarding vulnerable children where necessary;
- to provide pastoral support to teachers and staff, addressing the needs of children who require support to overcome barriers to learning at school and at home in order to achieve their full potential; and
- to work with individuals and groups of children, their families and other professionals to address issues relating to behaviour, learning and SEMH.
