Reception and Administration Assistant job summary
Join our team at Crown Street Primary School and play a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional and efficient environment for pupils, staff, parents and visitors. As a Reception & Administration Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our school, providing outstanding customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of school operations. Reporting to the School Operations Manager, you will provide confidential administrative support across the school whilst ensuring visitors receive a warm and professional welcome. The role is varied and fast-paced, requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Due to Crown Street Primary's unique location, there is no parking on site. However, there are Pay & Display bays on the surrounding roads of Great Jackson Street, which is where Crown Street Primary School is located. Public transport is excellent, with Crown Street Primary School being a 7-minute walk from Deansgate Train Station and Deansgate-Castlefield Tram Stop. We also offer interest free loans for the purchase of annual travel tickets.

This position is contracted on a 20 hours per week Term Time Only basis (Monday - Friday 8:30am - 12:30pm). This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so.

- To provide confidential administrative support to the school.
- To be a welcoming and professional first point of contact for visitors to the school ensuring signing in procedures are adhered to.
Key Skills and Experiences
- Sound Educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
- Experience of working in a Reception/Administrative support role.
