What skills and experience we're looking for

We are thrilled to be seeking a culinary visionary with next-level mentorship skills to shape our dining culture. You need to be excited by 95% scratch-cooking, nutritional guidelines, and supply chains , but also skilled enough with people to inspire and upskill kitchen teams and engage school leaders and primary children alike.

The core mission is to dramatically transform our regional school dining halls into vibrant spaces of discovery and delight, shifting us away from generic national wholesalers toward localised, sustainable, and ethical scratch-cooking. We need a talented leader who can confidently oversee a cluster of up to 10 kitchens, manage strict operational budgets, and step directly into the classroom to deliver hands-on cooking lessons that spark lifelong curiosity.

Your task is to elevate the standard and presentation of every single meal without exceeding tight funding constraints. How can we connect our kitchens to our communities and nourish our children better so that they can learn, grow, and flourish effectively?

What the school offers its staff

The central Trust team is a small but experienced team led by the CEO and Executive Directors to provide a comprehensive service to our schools and the Trust’s Head Office. We have developed a regional approach which has significantly developed our knowledge of local context and operations and our ability to provide strategic influence. It has also facilitated growing collaboration between schools within their region and across the Trust as a whole. Our Regional Chef Educators will be the architects of a new dining culture. As part of our regional leadership, you will move beyond contract management to lead a culinary movement that integrates food into the heart of our educational mission. Working closely with central team and Principals, you will oversee a cluster of up to 10 kitchens, transforming them into centers of culinary excellence.
