We are seeking a Review Officer to support and manage statutory review processes for students with special educational needs and disabilities. The post holder will work under the direction of the Review Manager and liaise closely with students, parents and carers, schools, and external agencies to ensure students are placed in provision that meets their needs and supports positive educational outcomes.

The role involves chairing Annual Review, PEP meetings, managing caseloads for children in care, with relevant parties. The Review Officer will contribute to transition planning, support the development of bespoke provision packages, collect and manage reports and documentation, and ensure all review activity aligns with current SEND legislation and best practice. The role also requires effective collaboration with senior staff and local authorities.

The successful candidate will bring strong communication and analytical skills, experience working within SEND environments, and a high standard of professional conduct. Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and equal opportunities is essential, alongside the ability to work under pressure and contribute positively to a values‑led organisation. Sunrise joined SENDAT Trust on 1st April 2022. It was previously called The Everitt Academy. It caters for up to 52 young people with a full EHCP for SEMH in Key Stages 3 and 4.

We are working with the LA to consider taking some Key Stage 2 students in the future.

As at Trust we are committed to trauma informed practice across all our schools and in all policies we work to. We have trained over 30 Level 5 practitioners and have an ongoing commitment to this. To support this work we have developed out TIS umbrella, which aims to show approaches and programmes that we use across the Trust under our overall TIS approach.
