What skills and experience we're looking for

The school wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Safeguarding and Inclusion Officer. This position would be to commence as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will work together with the senior school leaders to support and work with children and their families, including those who are most vulnerable. These responsibilities will include safeguarding/child protection, attendance and building engagement with families within the local community.

The successful candidate will assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead and Headteacher in taking a lead on safeguarding and child protection across the school (acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead), coordinating referrals, arranging action and reviewing provision for children and families.

Candidates should be suitably qualified and have experience of safeguarding / child protection issues and procedures. They will also have experience of working together with multi agencies to support the needs of the individual or group of young people and be able to meet the criteria detailed on the person specification.
