School Administrator job summary

This post is part‑time, term‑time only, working 29.5 hours per week, 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. 8.30am - 4pm Friday.

Every great school has someone at its centre who keeps everything moving, welcomes everyone who walks through the door, and brings calm to the everyday buzz of school life. At Oasis Academy Wintringham, that person could be you.

We’re looking for a warm, organised, community‑minded Administrator to join our Academy; someone who loves helping others, thrives on variety, and takes pride in making a real difference.

A Role with Purpose

As our Administrator, you’ll be one of the first friendly faces people meet. You’ll help students who need support, reassure parents, guide visitors, and keep staff connected and informed. You’ll be the person who knows what’s happening, where it’s happening, and how to make it happen smoothly. Your days will be full of meaningful moments, the kind that remind you why schools matter.

What your days might look like

No two days will ever be the same. You’ll be:

  • Welcoming students, staff, parents, and visitors with a friendly, professional approach
  • Handling reception and telephone enquiries with confidence and clarity
  • Managing attendance registers and supporting essential data processes
  • Producing documents, reports, and meeting minutes with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Supporting cash handling, petty cash, and financial record‑keeping
  • Keeping our administrative systems running smoothly — from filing to email management
  • Providing vital support to the Student Services Team
  • Training as a First Aider to help keep our community safe

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong communication skills and a warm, professional manner
  • Experience in administration, reception, or customer‑facing roles
  • Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organisation, time‑management, and attention to detail
  • The ability to stay calm, flexible, and positive in a busy environment
  • A commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and supporting young people
  • Typing or shorthand skills and experience in a school environment are a bonus — but not essential.

Why Join Us?

At Oasis Academy Wintringham, we believe in raising aspirations, unlocking potential, and nurturing confident, capable young people. As part of the Oasis Community Learning family, you’ll be joining a supportive, values‑driven organisation committed to inclusion, compassion, and opportunity for all. This is your chance to be part of something bigger; a vibrant school community where your work truly matters. You’ll be a key part of the Academy’s daily heartbeat — the person people rely on, trust, and appreciate.
