Are you a dynamic and experienced business professional looking to make a meaningful impact in education? We are looking for a School Business Manager to join our vibrant and welcoming two-form entry primary school, which is proud to be part of a thriving Multi-Academy Trust (MAT).
At All Saints, we are more than just a school – we are a supportive and collaborative community that puts people first. Rated Good by Ofsted, our school values the well-being of both pupils and staff, and we work closely with other schools and central teams across the Trust to ensure the highest standards in education and operations.
Be part of something bigger – join us in shaping futures across our school and Trust community. We look forward to welcoming you!
About the Role:
Working alongside the RET School Business Lead, you will play a vital role in both the strategic and day-to-day leadership of the school’s non-teaching operations—including finance, HR, site management, and administration—supporting the Headteacher to ensure the needs of all students are met and the best possible outcomes are achieved. You will also work collaboratively with Trust central teams and a strong network of School Business Managers and other professionals in similar roles across the MAT to align practices, share expertise, and contributing to the broader success of Trust’s vision - to enable all children and young people in our schools to thrive—especially those who are most disadvantaged, by providing high-quality education and care for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the school’s budget, procurement and Trust finance processes at school level
- Oversee HR processes, recruitment, and payroll in conjunction with Trust HR
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, data protection, and regulatory standards
- Work in partnership with the MAT’s central finance, estates, and HR teams
- Support income generation and value-for-money procurement
- Line-manage school administrative, premises and extended provision staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to problem-solve effectively
- Is aligned with the values of a Church of England school and a collaborative MAT
What We Offer:
- A warm, welcoming school community that values each individual
- Strong support from the Trust’s School Business Lead and experienced central team
- Opportunities to work collaboratively across the Trust and be part of a strong support network of School Business Managers and other professionals in similar roles
- A genuine commitment to staff well-being and professional development
- A role where you can make a real impact on children’s education
This role could be combined with a part-time School Business Manager role at Sutton Courtenay CE Primary School (also within the Trust) to create a full-time opportunity for the right candidate.
