We are seeking to appoint an exceptional School Business Manager to join our welcoming and ambitious school community. This is a pivotal leadership role, working closely with the Headteacher, Governors and Senior Leadership Team to help shape the strategic direction and continued success of the school.Our school is a place where relationships matter. About the Role
As School Business Manager, you will take a leading role in the strategic and operational management of the school’s support services. You will ensure that our systems, resources and people are aligned to enable outstanding teaching and learning.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Providing strategic leadership of finance, HR, administration and premises
• Leading on budget planning, monitoring and financial compliance, ensuring best value
• Managing and developing support staff teams to maintain high standards and a positive culture
• Ensuring effective systems, processes and data management that support school improvement
• Overseeing contracts, procurement and resource management
• Supporting governance by providing clear, accurate and timely information to leaders and governors
• Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including safeguarding and risk management
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires both strategic thinking and attention to detail.
About You
We are looking for a highly capable and motivated professional who:
• Has strong experience in financial management and budget control
• Demonstrates excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Can build effective relationships with staff, governors, parents and external partners
• Is proactive, resilient and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Has a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high standards
• Holds (or is working towards) a relevant qualification in business, finance or school business management
