We are looking for a School Administrator to join our friendly team at The Sunbeck Centre, a pupil referral unit serving the Hambleton and Richmondshire areas. This is a key role at the heart of our school, supporting the Headteacher and staff team with a wide range of administrative and financial tasks. From overseeing the school office and reception, to data analysis and administration of invoices, this role offers plenty of variety.

You will:

  • Provide efficient and confidential administrative support to the Headteacher and staff team.
  • Manage the smooth day-to-day running of the school office
  • Support financial processes such as budget monitoring, invoices, and reconciliation.
  • Be the first point of contact for visitors, parents and carers – ensuring a welcoming, professional reception.
  • Support in the monitoring of visitors/contractors and the organisation of meetings and cover arrangements.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety and data protection requirements.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience in administration (ideally in a school or similar environment).
  • Can juggle multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Has strong ICT, communication and organisational skills.
  • Brings resilience, adaptability, and a good-natured approach to the role.
  • Can work well independently and as part of a team.

What the school offers its staff

In return, we offer:

  • A friendly and supportive working environment, where you’ll be valued as part of a small team.
