Reporting to: Senior Science Technician / Science Learning Lead

About Us

This is an exciting time to be joining our Multi Academy Trust, which collectively educates over 4300 children, and employs over 450 professionals. Each of our good and outstanding academies operates at the heart of their local communities. The Foundation’s central offices are based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College campus set in beautiful grounds.

This role is based at The County High School, Leftwich, which is a high performing, fully inclusive, co-educational, 11-16 school with approximately 1050 students, 60 teaching and 60 support staff. The school serves a mixed catchment area with a Published Admission Number of 210, and we are now significantly over-subscribed.

About the Role

We are looking for a committed and driven Science Technician to join our thriving, hardworking Science team at The County High School Leftwich on a permanent basis.

As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education by preparing and organising materials, resources and equipment for practical lessons. You will ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, maintain and service laboratory equipment as required, and provide effective support to the Science teaching team. Through your contribution, you will help create a safe, stimulating learning environment that enables students to make strong academic progress, build confidence, and fully engage in school life.

Your Responsibilities

What we are looking for

  • GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths or Science at Grade A-C
  • Experience of working in a school or industry laboratory setting
  • Experience of working with students is desirable
