SEN Teacher and English Lead job summary

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and high-quality Class Teacher and English Lead, who is looking for a rewarding role that is focused upon improving the outcomes and attainment of vulnerable learners.

Longspee Secondary is a Specialist Provision for Autistic young people with SEMH needs. We offer a rich and high-quality learning experience for our students, with a relentless and positive focus upon Happy, Safe, Progress to help ensure that our students can build and achieve a successful adult life.

As the Class Teacher you would be expected to lead the learning of a class-team (pupils and staff). You will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for vulnerable learners. You will be highly skilled, creative and passionate in your teaching, and possess a track record of improving outcomes for young people. You will preferably have an understanding and experience of working with young people with additional needs including childhood trauma, alongside SEMH and ASC.
