SEND Teacher for our Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) job summary
Has proven experience of teaching pupils with SEN and experience of delivering a personalised curriculum either in a special or mainstream school
Has up to date knowledge of statutory regulations and guidance relating to special educational needs
Is an exceptional teacher with experience of teaching pupils with SEN across the primary range in special or mainstream school setting
Has knowledge of, or skills in using specialist communication systems. E.g. Makaton, PECs etc
Has excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Has a commitment and passion for inclusive education
Has high expectations and aspirations for our children’s achievement and behaviour
Understands the importance of good team work and a consistent approach for all our pupil
Has up to date knowledge of Government and Ofsted requirements
Has high expectations and aspirations for all children’s achievement and behaviour
Has strong phonics knowledge - we use Little Wandle
Is flexible and can work as part of a team to provide the very best for our pupils in challenging times
Understands that every day brings challenges and plans may change
Wants to be a key part of our ARP and also the wider school community
Commitment to safeguarding
