What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a practising Catholic or who is sympathetic to the mission and ethos of the Catholic Church
  • Is able to work with the class teacher, both within the classroom setting and also in smaller breakout spaces, to support pupils with their individual learning needs and achievement.
  • Has very good interpersonal skills, high expectations and excellent classroom practice.
  • Is proactive and committed to differentiating and adapting learning to suit the needs of individual children.
  • Is able to support children 1-1 who may struggle to work fulltime within the wider classroom setting.
  • Is experienced supporting children who can become dysregulated or stressed.
  • Is an excellent role model who can nurture, lead, inspire and motivate children.
  • Is able to oversee children in the playground at breaktime/lunchtime, or during wet play and monitor the safety and suitability of activities.
