SEND Teaching Assistant Temporary job summary

Temporary SEND Teaching Assistant required for September 2025. Working Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8.25 am until 3.05 pm and Fridays 8.25 am until 4.05 pm with a 15 minute unpaid morning break and 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, flexible and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work as part of our dedicated professional team. This role will involve working with a pupil with an EHCP in year 2 to access teaching and learning experiences and supporting a year 1 child with an EHCP at lunchtime, as well as working for one hour each Friday in our wraparound care facility (subject to this provision being continued).

The successful candidate will be expected to provide high quality care and education for all children who attend this values based setting.

The successful applicants will need to demonstrate experience of working with children with special educational needs and have a commitment to promoting equality and diversity. The ideal candidate must be resilient, patient and have good communication skills.
