What skills and experience we're looking for

Person Specification

Essential

  • Proven experience in administration, preferably within education, public sector or similar environment.
  • Willingness to learn financial processes including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
  • Willingness to learn financial processes
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to analyse financial information and present findings clearly.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, including budget holders and senior staff.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Desirable

  • Experience of financial administration within a school or academy setting.
  • Experience of payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations affecting school finances.
  • Familiarity with systems used in education, including financial, payment and management information systems.
  • Experience of lettings administration, customer service or income generation activities.
  • Experience of producing management information and undertaking data analysis.

Welcome to Nunnery Wood High School.

Nunnery Wood High School is an academy in Worcester, Worcestershire, England. It is a co-educational school and a Science College with about 1500 students on roll aged from 11 to 16. In 1983 following a restructuring of schools in Worcestershire the Nunnery Wood Secondary School was renamed Nunnery Wood High School.

The school campus is located on the edge of Worcester, surrounded by some 15 acres (61,000 m2) of gardens and playing fields which it shares with the adjacent Sixth Form College. The school benefits from refurbished or purpose built extensions including facilities for Science, English, Music, Art & Design, Languages and ICT. The school’s sports centre has an all-weather outdoor pitch and athletics track.
