Site Manager Assistant job summary

Role: Site Manager Assistant

Contract: Permanent

Hours/Weeks: 25 hours/week, 52 weeks/year

Pay Grade: D3-4

Are you hands-on, proactive, and passionate about creating safe and inspiring learning environments? We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Site Manager Assistant/Caretaker to help keep our school running smoothly and safely for all pupils and staff.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Assisting with day-to-day site maintenance, cleanliness, and security
  • Supporting the Site Manager in ensuring the school premises are well maintained and fit for purpose
  • Carrying out minor repairs and basic DIY tasks
  • Helping prepare the site for school events and activities
  • Monitoring heating, lighting, and alarm systems
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are met across the site

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has a practical, can-do attitude and takes pride in their work
  • Is dependable and committed to the school’s mission
  • Can work independently or as part of a team
  • Has basic maintenance skills (electrical, plumbing, carpentry a plus)
  • Has good communication skills and a friendly manner with children and adults alike
  • Is willing to undergo relevant training and safeguarding checks
