What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful Candidate will:

Be competent in a range of DIY skills e.g. carpentry, plumbing,decorating

Have experience of working in a building/ site maintenance role

Be able to work at heights and lift and carry items

Be motivated to continually improve site standards across the school

Have the ability to form positive relationships with staff, children andparents and display a high standard of professionalism

Be committed to the school's vision

Be enthusiastic about working as part of a team

Have high expectations of self and others with the desire and ability tomake a difference

Have good verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable using everyday digital tools such as Google Docs,spreadsheets, email or Microsoft Office

Have a commitment to ongoing continued professional development

The Site Manager Role:

● Establish working patterns that ensure the schools’ grounds areclean and tidy

● Oversee the work of the maintenance contractors ensuringsatisfactory standards of work

● In consultation with the Ops Manager, prioritise the programme ofminor works, taking into account urgent needs and health and safety

● Carry out regular health and safety checks in line with the health andsafety policy to establish safe working practices

● Cover lettings of the school premises, including opening and lockingup and general supervision

● Work as part of a collaborative team of Site Managers, bothregionally and nationally, within the Elliot Foundation.

Cavalry Primary School is situated in the town of March in the heart of
Fenland. We currently have 420 children on roll and a further 75
children attend our nursery on a part time basis
Our catchment area is very mixed but many of our children come
from low income households. We believe that we have built a school
which serves the interests of all the children very well. Our Ofsted
reports of 2010, 2013 and 2019 tell the story of the school’s journey
and we are very proud of what they tell prospective staff and parents
about the school community.
