Part time: This position is for 37 hours per week. The working pattern will be Monday to Wednesday 8.30am-4.45pm, Thursday and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm, includes a 1/2 an hour lunchbreak and 15-minute unpaid morning break, term time only.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a Sports Coach who has experience of leading multi-sport coaching sessions, who shows:

  • Know how to get children engaged in sports
  • Have an abundance of energy and enthusiasm for sport
  • Confidence and ability to interact with children and encourage interaction between children
  • A willingness to learn and strive for excellence
  • The ability to provide a fun and stimulating learning environment
  • A child centred approach that is inclusive of everyone
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • An innovative approach to learning and teaching
  • Excellent organisational skills

Successful candidates should have grades A-C or equivalent in both Maths and English. A Higher-Level Sports/further coaching qualification is also required.

Templars Academy is part of the Inspires Multi-academy Trust, a primary-only multi-academy trust with 5 schools forming the MAT.

Templars Academy is located on the Cressing Road in Witham, Essex. Our large fenced site benefits from excellent facilities. This includes two school buildings, each with disabled access and toilets, a disabled car parking space close by, and their own halls. We have extensive landscaped grounds, a fully air-conditioned ICT suite and a well stocked library.
